You are invited to submit proposals for exhibiting at the upcoming Exhibition 2013 at Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens.
Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens is a tranquil, peaceful oasis set in gardens on a rural property looking out to the Kaipara Harbour. It features selected contemporary sculptures, created by established and emerging New Zealand artists
which are all for sale and the exhibition is completely changed each year.
The site was developed so that visitors to the gardens can stroll along the sculpture trail and find inspiration for selecting sculptures and plants to enhance their gardens and property while enjoying great views of the rural setting.
The trail passes through a rural landscape with a mix of grassy slopes, ponds, wetland area, formal gardens, native plantings, an orchard, pine planting and views to the Kaipara Harbour.
You are invited to submit a proposal for sculptural work(s), to be exhibited on a sale or return basis for a period of 12 months unless sold prior.
New sculptural works are sought in a range of sizes, mediums and price ranges, including static, kinetic, installation, utilising light, sound or water, ephemeral or conceptual in nature that reflect contemporary sculptural practice
will all be considered.
The selection panel will be specifically looking for works that relate, reflect and explore the natural beauty of this region of Auckland, the Kaipara Harbour, the flora and fauna, threats to the environment, the history of the land,
colonisation and socio-political issues.
This project is seeking sculptures for installation between 20th and 28th of October 2012 with the opening of the exhibition to the public on November 17th 2012, so please return your proposals by Friday 6th July. You are welcome to
submit more than one proposal. Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens will advise you of your acceptance or not by 15th July.
This is a great opportunity for your work to be displayed in a setting that will create excellent exposure for you and will be conducive to generating sales of your sculptures. Our marketing and advertising efforts, particularly some
great editorials in NZ Herald, North Shore Times and Magazines has seen visitor numbers increase and sales of 15 sculpture pieces by 9 artists so far from this Exhibition 2012.
Please email Sculpture@kaiparacoast.co.nz for more details and the proposal forms.
