Landscape Architecture

What We Do...

Residential Rural Lifestyle Block Design

We enjoy preparing Landscape Plans for rural lifestyle blocks which reflect the unique requirements of the owners and site characteristics. Elements that are common throughout many of these designs include shelterbelt planting, orchards and vegetable and herb gardens, native revegetation plantings through riparian margins and on steep or eroding banks, woodlots and amenity planting.

Play Space Design

We have a passion for the design of play spaces, including pre-schools, schools, parks and residential. We recognise that the best results come from a more collaborative approach and a pooling of a ideas from all interested parties, resulting in an outcome which responds to the needs of the users of the spaces and the unique site characteristics.

Subdivision Design

We have worked on many subdivision projects ranging from assisting in the master planning of large green field sites, to smaller rural and urban subdivisions. These involved the preparation of concept plans, street tree planting, mitigation planting and wetland and storm water pond design. Many of these included the preparation of landscape and visual assessments.

Landscape and Visual Assessments

We have prepared many landscape and visual assessments for a wide range of pro-jects including subdivisions, telecommunications towers and residential developments. A large proportion of these involved presentation of evidence at Council hearings. We have experience presenting evidence in the Environment Court .

Community Projects

We enjoy the collaborative approach that is required when working with community groups and other interested parties to come up with practical and creative solutions for landscape design in the public realm. Projects that we have worked on include streetscape enhancement, Playcentre con-cept plans, school master planning and detailed design and park design.

Quotes

You Have A Landscape Plan Already

Simply send us your plan or plant list and we will price up supplying the plants.

We can quote on implementing the work if required, or we will work in with you or your landscape contractor to ensure you have the right plants when you need them.

If you are not ready for your project yet, we can quote on the plant supply, and discuss the option of contract growing the plants for you to ensure the best plants at a cost effective price.

Site Assessments and Reports

You Need A Plan or Some Help

STEP ONE: SITE VISIT & SITE ASSESSMENT
We will come to your place and spend time with you finding out what you need and what you like, taking measurements, and discussing ideas on site of some various options available to you.

STEP TWO: SITE ASSESSMENT REPORT
We put together a Site Assessment Report. This written report itemises all the areas we have discussed on site, listing what needs to be done, and also includes a list of plants required, and a summary of the costs involved, so you know what the landscaping and planting will cost.

Cost of the initial site assessment is $195*.

NOTE: Site visit and site assessment on its own with no written report is $125.

*Site assessment & report includes:
- Travel to site* NOTES: (* travel is within 35mins of Kaipara Coast Plant Centre. Properties outside of this area add $10 per 10mins of travel).
- 1 to 1.5 hours on site discussing options, assessing site and planting options and taking meas-urements.
- a comprehensive written report back 10-14 working days after the visit.

Landscape Design

For those who need more detail after the initial site assessment, we offer a full range of Landscape plans, from a basic sketch plan to a detailed 3D plan. The cost of a plan depends on the detail required and the size of the property, and we will provide a quote for providing a plan after the initial site visit.
